It seems it is possible! Plus we have driven the new Cayman; more power, PDY gearbox, new engines... it seems only yesterday that they launched the car!FEBRUARY 2009 ISSUE ON SALE 2ND JANUARY 2009 |
Hands up who's bored with the economic downturn then? Now, I don't mean to trivialise these tough times, but I mean, enough is enough. At least interest rates are down, fuel is down (or at least not going up) and you can buy a Cayenne for only £10,000! If we are all going to hell in a hand cart, then it might as well be a stylish, fast and comfortable one! And even new, the Porsche prices take some beating - after 11 years in production, the base model of the new revised Boxster (full details this month) is £34,420 and that is virtually identical to the launch model in 1997 (£33,950) and it is a much improved offering today as well! Of course Boxsters aren't to every Porsche enthusiasts taste, and if you want something 'stronger', then there's always the GT2. We took four models up to Yorkshire for some serious driving fun.... and it snowed (just like the last time I tried, see nice Christmassy pic above!). Can't win them all, but talking about it sure beats discussing Mr Darling's latest fiscal plans...! As it is that time of year, may I wish all readers a very Happy Christmas and let's hope for a prosperous New Year!
